Jim Caviezel played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ (2004). Believe it or not, he was struck by lightning twice during production, once while filming the Sermon on the Mount and a second time during the crucifixion sequence. In addition to the lightning strikes, Caviezel’s physical injuries from the film included severe hypothermia and a dislocated shoulder from the weight of the cross.
