You can imagine that a person like Joe would attract great public attention – not just that of the authorities and animal-rights organizations, but the attention of the entertainment industry as well. If you ask Joe, he’d probably tell you he was a born entertainer.
Tiger King isn’t the first documentary Joe has been a part of; in 2011, the British-American filmmaker Louis Theroux filmed a documentary in the U.S. about individuals raising exotic animals including bears, big cats and other dangerous, and endangered, primates. Naturally, Joe Exotic was featured on Theroux’s show, America’s Most Dangerous Pets.
