The Office is an ultra-popular sitcom that started in 2005 and ran for nine seasons. Despite its cringe-worthy and sometimes inappropriate humor, it remained a strong contender until the very end. Although several of these cringey episodes are still fun, some have aged poorly, and others are just hard to watch. But still, you just can’t look away. There’s an episode where Pam describes it best: “It’s like squishing a spider under a book. It’s gonna be really gross, but I have to see if it’s *really* dead.” So, here’s a rundown of the most cringe-worthy episodes of The Office that are still winners in our book.
#25: Did I Stutter? (Season 4, Episode 16)
By season four, we’ve grown to know and love the characters (well, most of them) for all their qualities and quirks. We know at this point that Michael is desperate to be liked by everyone, and sees himself more as a friend of his employees than a manager. In season 4, episode 16, titled “Did I Stutter?” we witness an incredibly uncomfortable moment between Michael and Stanley when Stanley finally snaps at Micahel’s constant badgering. Of course, Michael doesn’t know how to react to the situation and ends up fake-firing him (what?), making things worse.
