#24: Elton John – Tiny Dancer
Like many other songs on this list, certain songs don’t always break the charts when they are first released. Like a good wine or cheese, sometimes a song has the potential to ripen with age. Whether it be something in social media, a film, or even a television show to bring an old song back to life, these things happen more often than we think.
Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” hasn’t always been such a hit as some might assume. When Elton released the song in 1972, its unusually long running time was too long for some radio stations so not many people actually got to hear it. That was until the film, Almost Famous came out in 2000 giving this song the true fame it deserves. After this, the song was topping charts globally.
