Sports fans tend to take their team a little too seriously, and sometimes their burns can be below the belt, as this photo demonstrates. Involving the beloved 90’s character – Forrest Gump – in this football discussion is crossing the line. I wonder what Tom Hanks would have to say about this.
These fans weren’t happy with Crimson Tide’s performances, and they thought that mentioning Forrest Gump’s name would drive their point home. Basically, they’re saying that if Forrest Gump could make it, anyone can. What they’re forgetting is that while Forrest Gump may not have been your average football player, he was more driven and determined than any player we see on the field these days.
