No need to get personal
Since the beginning of sports, back in ancient Greece, it was a known fact that sports fans take it so seriously, they tend to get too personal when it comes showing support on the field. We fully support encouraging your team – after all, seeing the fans in the crowd is part of what motivates the players and enables them to keep going – but there’s no need to get personal, insulting the entire female population of Washington.
To be honest, though, although the Washington Huskies’ name obviously had nothing to do with husky women, their name is just too easy to mess around with. That’s why some fans have it better than others, since their rivals’ names are just too easy to manipulate. However, the truly loyal fans are the ones who get creative even with boring names.
