#3: Mari Blanchard
After bravely overcoming childhood polio that left her temporarily paralyzed, Mari Blanchard grew into a striking dark-haired leading lady. She showed incredible versatility, playing dangerous saloon girls in westerns like Destry (1954). Some of us still remember the unique Queen Allura in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars (1953). She kept acting in major television shows until her passing in 1970.
