For 84 years, basketball players and trendsetters alike wore Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars with pride. Nike bought the brand after it went bankrupt in 2001, but it quickly moved production to other countries. The sneakers now come from factories in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, which are far from where they were made in Malden, Massachusetts.
