Heterochromia is classified as a difference in coloration, typically in the eyes, but also sometimes in the hair and skin. It can be caused by disease, injury, genetic mosaicism, or inheritance from a relative. In complete Heterochromia iridum, each eye differs completely in color from the other. This is found in humans, as well as some dog and cat breeds.
