#9: Chippendale Audition, Season 16

Every SNL fan is familiar with the hilarious work of the late Chris Farley. Farley was a cast member of the show between 1990 and 1995 and won people’s hearts worldwide until his dismissal from the show. One of his most memorable skits was “Chippendale Audition,” which showed Farley competing against Patrick Swayze for a spot as Chippendale.

The skit’s undeniable hilarity has long been admired. However, many people today question the idea that the audience is supposed to laugh at Farley rather than with him. But the way he took on the role of Barney in such a hilarious and authentic way made the skit so funny.
