These days, he might be famous for his character, Jake Peralta, on Brooklyn 99, but Andy Samberg was once a cast member on Saturday Night Live. And before that, he was part of a comedy trio known for their digital shorts called Lonely Island. But in 2005, Samberg was officially invited to join the cast of SNL and stayed for seven seasons.

Lonely Island wasn’t formed on the show; however, Lorne Michaels eventually hired the whole trio for the show. While we wish we could choose just one digital short from the very talented trio, that isn’t possible. Once they gained traction, their fanbase grew exponentially, and they became one of the best-known comedic trios in the industry.
