Robert Reed, who played Mike Brady on The Brady Bunch (1969), had problems with the show’s silly scripts. He was a classically trained actor and often disagreed with creator Sherwood Schwartz over apparent logical errors. Reed was serious about his role and wrote long memos about his concerns, which were mostly ignored. His disappointment was so deep that he refused to film the series finale.
