If we know anything about live television viewers, it’s that they love major life events like a tear-jerking funeral or a happy wedding. And no one holds either of those celebrations better than the Royal Family. Just take a look at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011 which captured over 160 million people between live TV and the internet. Perhaps part of that seemingly lower viewership had to do with the timing, as it took place in the early morning (roughly 6 a.m. EST) for American viewers.
