The 1964 World’s Fair predictions that were right

There was “Electro,” a robot built for menial tasks and to indicate a future of human-machine companionship. Electro may not have been like the sophisticated humanoid robots of today, many of which are now used in elder care and hospitality, but he gave people a glimpse of things to come. Today we have AI and social robots in our lives, and the dream of a ‘mechanical friend’ has largely come true.
