#19: Privacy and Solitude
Being unreachable used to be normal. If you left the house, people simply did not know where you were unless you told them. Teenagers could walk, bike, wander, sit somewhere, or vanish into an afternoon without a constant stream of notifications. That freedom came with risks, sure, but also with mental quiet. The internet made connection constant. It also made solitude something you now have to actively defend, like a tiny endangered species.
