#43: What’s in a Name?
One of the things I think is absolutely incredible about teachers is that they manage to learn the names, faces, and personalities of anywhere from 20 to 150 kids, depending on the school and what they teach. I can’t even remember new people when I meet them one at a time.
Still, though teachers do get good at remembering student names, it probably takes them a while, so if your teacher knows your name early on, assume that’s not a good sign. Assume that they have memorized your name after having to consult a seating chart and then scold you every 45 seconds.
