#42: Old, Not Deaf
This is a really common thread that you see in these teacher confessions: students think that they are getting away with a lot more than they actually are getting away with. You think you’re being clever? You think the teacher can’t hear you or doesn’t see you eating, or hasn’t noticed you passing notes? They have. They absolutely have.

They just probably don’t want to deal with it right now, they don’t have the mental capacity or the will, or they have more important tasks that need to get done in their classroom than making sure you’re paying attention.
