#17: Must Love Kids
I assume you don’t get into teaching unless you like kids at least a little bit, right? I mean, I assume that, at the very least, you can stand to be near them, or you would not think that you wanted to be a teacher. The question is, once you have become a teacher and you are surrounded by children nonstop, does that make you like them more or less?
But at least having your children would be different than teaching someone else’s children, right? With your own children, you have more control over how they behave; you can guide and mold and punish and reward them in a way that you can’t when you’re just their teacher. So hopefully, having your own kids is better in this sense.
