I like to remember myself as being a perfect angel when I was in school. I like to imagine I was the kind of student teachers liked to have. But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe teachers thought I was a little know-it-all or that I talked to my friends too much in class, but they rarely said anything. There are a lot of things teachers wish they could say to their students but, for one reason or another, they have to keep to themselves. Have you ever wondered what it was your teachers might have wanted to say to you? Here we’ve gathered examples from anonymous teachers of things that they wish they could have said to their students (or their students’ parents) – both funny and serious. Read on and see what goes on in the mind of a teacher.
#1: The Dreaded Permanent Record
Personally, I’ve never had a teacher threaten that something I was doing was going to go on to my permanent record. Maybe that’s just because I usually wasn’t up to anything too crazy. To be honest, I assumed the whole permanent record idea is one of those things that’s made up for TV and movies.
But according to this teacher, that’s not the case! Apparently, there really is a record that follows you around your whole school career and that your teachers can consult to find out what nonsense you’ve gotten up to in the past. It’s a little sad that, in cases like this one, it might cause the teacher to treat kids differently.
