#24: Say What Now?
While some people felt that they were academically successful at school, that wasn’t necessarily the case for everyone. School is one of those environments where, if you do well, you are constantly praised for your efforts. But if you don’t do well, then everyone will know about it, and chances are that all of that embarrassment isn’t going to make you want to succeed.
Which apparently leaves the American people with a statistic like this. Apparently, 4/3 of Americans do not understand fractions. Sure, they can be a little bit confusing for a kid who is already struggling in math class, but there isn’t much of an excuse for all of the adults that are included in this little fraction right here.
