Ruby Rose as Batwoman

Although superheroes have made a tremendous splash on the big screen, their popularity has spread to nearly all facets of media. That includes the small screen, where platforms like Netflix and Disney+ have been able to create original series based on our favorite superhero characters.

Ruby Rose played the role of Batwoman in the CW’s TV series named after the character in question. Her role as Batwoman was groundbreaking as it was the first time a superhero TV show featured an openly lesbian superheroine. Sadly, Ruby left after the first season of the show, citing dangerous work environments. She was eventually replaced with Ryan Wilder.
