One-Way Street
Teachers should stop assigning tasks like this to their students. Asking students to write about their best friends is a great way to get them to think about what they want to say, but it becomes incredibly awkward when the person they’re writing about doesn’t write about them. After all, people can only have one best friend, right?
This person wrote about a person in their class and was confident that their friend would write about them. That’s the first problem. Never assume someone is your best friend until you’ve had a heart-to-heart with them, and even then it can get pretty awkward.
