Darth Vader Was Banned From All Lucasfilms Events
We all know that the voice behind the Sith Lord, Darth Vader, is none other than James Earl Jones. However, he is not the one wearing the suit. The original Darth Vader is portrayed by David Prowse. But did you know that George Lucas officially banned Prowse from all Lucasfilm events? Prowse was also deemed persona non grata by Lucas himself.
George Lucas didn’t really give much reason as to why this happened other than the actor’s animosity with him in the past, having ‘burnt too many bridges’ that Lucas can’t just simply let it go. This is because, in a 1978 interview, Prowse spilled the tea about the father-son relationship between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Unfortunately, this was never resolved, even when Prowse died in November 2020.
