#44: The Narendra Modi Stadium
Not everyone knows this, but the Indian people are mad about sports. Of course, they got their sporting taste from the British, so unfortunately, they seem to have too much love for sports like cricket and rugby. We can only forgive them for the quality of the sportsmen (and of the fans) that they export.
So it is only fitting that the biggest stadium in the world should be in a sports-mad country. 1 in every 10,000 Indians can be seated here. That’s really saying something, considering India’s population of almost one and a half billion just so happens to be the largest in the world.
