#33: World Championship Punkin Chunkin
This festival is another chucking festival where, you guessed it, people are trying their best to throw off a pumpkin. The greater the distance, the better the chances of winning. You can even use tools to help your throw. You can use trebuchets, slingshots, catapults, centrifugal chuckers, and many other intelligent machines to out-maneuver your opponents.
Due to its goofy essence, the tournament is quite famous globally, with a large fan following social media pages. As many as 100 teams take part in the international championships. There are separate categories for kids and adults. It seems like Aussies want their kids to be expert shooters for some unknown reason, but hey, if it’s bringing in smiles and chuckles and no harm done, who are we to judge?
