#2: Cell Phone Throwing
Now that we are done playing with fire, we can focus our attention on phone throwing. You might think it is something people do at parties, but no, it is an international sport. Even more bizarre is the fact that mobile throwing is Finland’s national sport. Is it just us, or does it perhaps say something about the Finnish people and their anger?
Since 2000, the people of the town of Savonlinna, Finland, have gathered every year to decide on a champion mobile phone thrower. The most sought-after points are the throwing technique and the distance. These factors help decide the winner. The phones used in the competition are non-functional (obviously), and they get recycled afterward. However, if you feel like it, you can join the competition just to lash out your anger at your phone. Who knows, you might even win a grand prize for it.
