#5: Not All That Bubbles is Gold
We all know 7Up, the lemon-lime soda without caffeine. It’s comforting and can be used in many recipes, from alcoholic drinks to breads. 7Up has had many variants over the years, including the 1988 7Up Gold. This was a caffeinated version that had a ginger-ale flavor. However, the marketing for it wasn’t the best, so this gold got thrown into the 7Up vault. Apparently, it was an unused Dr Pepper recipe. I’m curious myself; I never tried it, but I don’t see it making a comeback.
