#20: Marathon Bars
If you were a ’70s kid in the UK and Ireland, you may have had Marathon bars. These were Snickers, which were called that in those countries until 1990. In the US, Marathon bars were Mars candy bars based on Curly Wurlies. Curly Wurly is a UK candy made of chocolate-covered caramel. It’s all a little confusing. Either way, you get filled up. Those peanuts and nougat Snickers bars give you can fill you up. Meanwhile, the US version had you chewing on caramel all day long!
