Sleep on It
They say that our brains work best in the morning. However, what they don’t tell you is that our brains work best only after we drink a gallon of coffee. Either way, if you have to make a life-changing decision, you should sleep on it.
It sounds like a simple trick, but it actually works. By the morning, you’ll have forgotten about all of the emotions tied to the decision. That way, you will have a level head when coming up with the best course of action. Whatever it is, you should probably give it at least eight hours before making an irreversible decision.
