There’s More Hiding Behind The Mask
Playing a Disney Character is serious business. The minute a Disney cast member dons the costume is the same instant a character is magically brought to life. That is why they mustn’t spoil the illusion for the guests at Disneyland, even if the person inside the costume isn’t feeling well.
Feeling under the weather sucks most of the time. Imagine it happening when you’re inside a fill-body suit! The employees have unique signals that let their co-workers know when they are not feeling well. And if they get nauseous and need to throw up, they have to do it inside their masks (yuck). They are not allowed to remove their masks in public to not scare the children and traumatize them.
