A former employee who worked in costumes spilled some juicy tidbits about our favorite Disney characters and boy, do they stink! Imagine you work as a character – maybe Pluto, Mickey, Snow White, or Cinderella. Your costume is intricate and detailed (they need to be to uphold the magic). But because the materials and finish are delicate, they are not washed regularly. So even if different performers play the same character, the costumes are unwashed between use.
The worst of the lot has to be Beast. Not only does he look formidable, but he smells the part, too. Most of the Beast’s costume cannot be washed, so it’s only sprayed with disinfectant. Clean, but smelly. The cast member who plays Beast must have picked the short end of the stick.
