#22: Just Say No
If there’s one thing that I remember about elementary school, it’s that we spent a lot of time preparing for what we would do in case of a fire or earthquake, and a lot of time learning that we shouldn’t take substances. (Or maybe that didn’t happen all that often and it just stands out in my mind because it was more interesting than classwork.)

The point is, I’ve spent a lot of time doing things related to the D.A.R.E. program in school. So I was surprised to learn that they have changed it and are using a different program now—though I shouldn’t be, as it seems like government and school programs are constantly being retooled and replaced.
