#3: “I’ll Be There for You” – Bon Jovi (1988)
“I’ll Be There for You” is Bon Jovi at the peak of their melodrama. Written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, it layers Jon’s heartfelt vocals with Sambora’s Greek-chorus backing, all wrapped in moody, arena-ready production. Critics call it cheesy, just listen to “I’d steal the sun from the sky for you,” but fans don’t care.
