Well, That Was Awkward
Recruiters and hiring managers are not only bound by their work to assess various job applicants. They must also have the initiative to do a thorough background check on all these applicants. I mean, you would definitely not want to have an incompetent and untrustworthy employee working for you, now, wouldn’t you?
However, some recruiters and hiring managers are just too lazy to do their job. Imagine reaching out to a prospect for a job vacancy, without knowing that the hired applicant would be reporting to that ‘prospect’. How in the world did you end up pitching a job vacancy to the boss himself? That’s extremely awkward.
