Upper Montclair | Essex County, NJ
So, why would anyone want to live in New Jersey when you could move to the state next door? There are several reasons for this, the most prominent being that it’s a lot more affordable to live in New Jersey than it is in New York. Mind you, we’re using the term “affordable” very loosely here, at least when talking about Upper Montclair.
Even the name of this town sounds a bit snooty, but we guess it deserves that for being one of the richest neighborhoods just outside of New York. The price of houses there ranges from $100,000 all the way up to $6 million. However, the economic growth of the area ain’t all that good. Don’t move to Upper Montclair if you’re looking for a job!
