#33: Level of Stupid
It’s true; working in retail, you meet all kinds of people, even the kind of people you don’t necessarily want to meet. You really get to see people from every culture, gender, and social class. You meet people with different viewpoints and value systems, and it’s not uncommon for these people to share their viewpoints and thoughts.
And yes, you hear plenty of opinions you don’t necessarily agree with. The key is to just smile and nod and keep it professional. You don’t have to agree with the customer, but you have to treat them with respect. And when the shift ends, you can go home and tell your family and friends all about the weird people you met at work today with all their crazy conspiracy theories.
