Customer support people get a bad rap; or just the right rap for how unhelpful they generally are. When you do actually get to talk to a real person they probably just regurgitate the company line that you could find on the website anyway. There are thankfully some exceptions.
This guy, for example, seems to have had some sort of bad experience with a pet in the past. Once he’d discovered what the problem was, he slips from being robotically helpful to giving away far more than he intended about his attitude toward his pets. Maybe they should start a support group.
