Espresso
Sometimes things get lost in translation, especially in the different areas of the service sector. Coffee orders, for example, have gotten more and more complicated over the last decade. It used to be that you only needed to know whether someone wanted milk in their filter coffee. Now we’ve moved way past even simple cappuccinos and lattes to orders that take about 5 minutes to write down.
Even the most uninitiated of baristas, however, could probably get that “espresso over ice” doesn’t mean what is shown in this picture. Perhaps the server was having a bad day, but this is a weird way of serving one of the most simple coffee orders possible.
