#2: The Exorcist: Believer (2023)
A sequel to The Exorcist has one brutal problem: the original was not just about possession. It was about faith, doubt, grief, medicine, motherhood, and spiritual terror. Believer had the iconography, the screaming, the twisted bodies, and the brand name, but not the same theological weight. It felt more like a possession sampler platter than an existential nightmare.
