Mortar and Pestel for Smashed Garlic
Let’s be honest, only chefs can slice garlic as thin as it needs to be for that special garlicky extra, and we don’t have the time to finely grate garlic with a mandolin like we’re in The Goodfellas. So why even try to chop at all?
Just grind garlic cloves down with a mortar and pestle, you’ll be amazed at the resulting texture. The garlic will mesh with basically everything and will lose some of its bitterness.
