Prevent Your Apples From Browning
The core, the core, the core. Wedge your apples with a veggie slicer and hold the wedges back together as one piece. Now, using a rubber band or two, or even saran wrap if you have someone on hand, keep the apple pieces held together until lunchtime comes; surprise surprise, the apple pieces do not brown!
If you want to further increase the apple pieces’ antioxidant activity, splash some fresh lemon juice all over the fleshy part of the apple pieces (not the skin, obviously) right after slicing it. The citric acid would do the job.
