Former NFL wide receiver might have changed three teams within eight years (four seasons with the Denver Broncos, three seasons with the NY Jets and one season with the Tennessee Titans), he is very stable when it comes to his love life. He met his wife, acclaimed country singer Jessie James, through a mutual friend back in 2011, and the two have been going strong ever since. It was very lucky that Jessie’s friend dated one of Eric’s friends, and that’s how she set the couple up, not before showing them pictures of one another to let them know what they’re in for.
The couple started a ‘digital’ relationship, talking on the phone and texting, before they mustered the courage to meet in person. However, when this meeting finally arrived, it was love at first sight, and it only took the couple one date to make their relationship official. What does making it official mean? The singer shared in an interview that after their very first date, Decker asked her to be his girlfriend. It wasn’t an easy start for the couple, however, since it never is for two celebrities with successful careers and busy schedules, but they made it work. They tied the knot in 2012, and they have three children together.
