#45: American Science Experiments
In America, many school-age children grow up having to participate in an event called a science fair. During the said science fair, every kid has to set up their own display with a science experiment in exchange for a grade or a prize. Some Americans, however, continue to have a fascination for science experiments well beyond their grade school years.
Coke and Mentos is a classic example of a goofy science experiment that Americans love. Coke, an intensely carbonated beverage, meets the hard candy mentos, and bam! Massive explosion! We can’t help but wonder how much money Americans collectively waste on this silly experiment each year. It looks fun, at least.
