#32: National Anthem Stage Fright
Stage fright can certainly get the best of people. Sometimes, a phenomenon happens where people begin to “blackout” and forget what they were saying during a speech or performance. Americans also fall victim to this blackout phenomenon, but you may not necessarily expect it during times like their national anthem.
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen! Many Americans black out during their national anthem, and mind you; they’ve known the lyrics since they were old enough to ride a bike. So why does it happen? We’re not sure, but it’s pretty amazing how Americans casually shrug it off when this situation does happen.
