#3: Something to Be Proud of
In a sense, Americans getting the “I voted today” stickers is a physical form of the phrase “good job, buddy.” You always see Americans proudly wearing their stickers on Instagram for voting day. Do they really need to be rewarded for doing something that is their right? Or is it to encourage others to do their part and vote?
Michelle nailed this one! This is just plain funny. It really does seem like a dentist’s office scenario, or when a kid gets a lollipop after a visit to the doctor. So, are Americans brave for going to the polls? Who knows. Are there any other countries giving voting stickers to their citizens to weigh in and help us out on this one? Not that we know of.
