Answer: Sesame Street
Ask anyone; they will easily agree that “Sesame Street” is a powerhouse in children’s programming. The educational show debuted in 1969 and is still going strong with a staggering 54 seasons under its belt. The show was developed as one of the first to build its skits and dialogue around an educational curriculum. Plus, it’s one of the very few shows that actually studied the positive effect its programming had on childhood development. Most of us can easily hum the iconic theme song and name more than a few of Jim Henson’s “Sesame Street” muppets. It’s wild to think that everyone’s favorite PBS show has raised multiple generations of American kids. Pretty neat!
