It’ll Show Up Sometime, Maybe
Have you ever lost a piece of luggage at an airport? The first thing you should do is report it to airport staff, who will take your report and do their best to look for your lost luggage. However, odds are they’re not going to find it, at least right away.
What they will do is input your report into their system, and if your suitcase shows up sometime in the future, they’ll let you know. This could be days, weeks, even months after filing the initial report. It’s not like they’re going to halt every plane and every carousel to locate one person’s missing bag.
