Today, Michael Jordan is known as the greatest basketball player of all time, but back in the eighties, when he starred in a Nike commercial, he was still at the brinks of his legendary career. It turns out Nike knew a talent when they saw one, and they didn’t hesitate to cast Michael Jordan for their advertisement campaign.
In 1985, he signed a contract with Nike to introduce his line of Air Jordan Shoes, and although he went on to become an NFL legend and the “greatest basketball player” in the world, Jordan still collects his revenues from the successful Nike commercials.
