Jaguar
Actor Tom Hiddleston is most widely known for his role as the antagonistic Loki in Marvel’s Thor films. In 2014, Jaguar chose him for their commercial for precisely this reason; they wanted to try a new approach, where instead of presenting their car like the batmobile, they’d present it as the ultimate villain’s car.
Tom Hiddleston has plenty of experience playing a villain, so he was an obvious choice for the campaign. In the commercial, he rides around in his Jaguar, which makes for a great getaway car. The slogan of the commercial is “Good to be Bad.” Hiddleston starred in a number of commercials for this controversial campaign, that was allegedly “encouraging irresponsible driving.”
