The 1940s marked an era where household TV sets became more affordable and commonplace. More families were able to afford TVs in their homes, making them more popular than radios for the first time ever. This early TV is a perfect example of what people were buying in 1946 and 1947.

This RCA Model 630-TS was incredibly popular when it came out. The 10-inch screen was large for the time, which is pretty wild when you think about how large and thin our TV screens are today. The TV industry boomed in the late 1940s after WWII ended. It was around the time of the RCA Model 630-TS that TV stations like ABC and CBS were introduced.
