#26: Mouse Traps
Do you ever wonder when mouse traps were invented? Yeah, we didn’t think so. It’s still interesting to learn about, though! The earliest records we have of mousetraps date back to the 16th century. But let’s be honest. People probably invented other ways of catching mice way before! We’ve always had to deal with mice as pests, so we wouldn’t be surprised.
The thing is, the original mousetraps were pretty solid. Throughout the years, people have tried to invent new and improved versions of the spring-loaded trap, but nothing compares to the original design. We all know the classic saying. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The design from 400 years ago worked pretty well, so why change it?
